Reactionless Round Rock

A DIY Group Practice for puppies, service dogs in training, and dogs recovering from reactivity

1 hBrushy Creek Road

Service Description

Do you have a puppy in need of proper socialization where they remain neutral towards people and animals in public? Or a dog trying to overcome reactivity due to fear or frustration? Or a service dog practicing neutrality and proofing their public access manners and tasks around all sorts of distractions? No matter your reason, join us for Reactionless Round Rock, hosted by Paws with Perception's trainer, Rachell Hayes, CPDT-KA, FFCP. This dog meet up is intended to have you individually practice with your dog in the presence of other owners doing the same with their dogs. Please keep in mind, that there will not be a group lesson or individual instructions during this group practice. Everyone in attendance will be working with their own dog. This is just a scheduled meet up to help promote good behavior around other dogs and humans. Join us every Friday at 6pm near the Brushy Creek Splashpad in Round Rock. This event is entirely free. Please be sure to read the following rules. : 1. Be respectful: this is especially geared towards respecting the boundaries of other dogs to keep everyone under threshold. A dog is over threshold way before they bark or lunge. If either your dog or another dog seems fixated on you or your dog, you are too close. 2. No aggressive dogs: Aggression should be handled by a board certified veterinary behaviorist. If you are unsure if your dog is being reactive or aggressive, Rachell also gives free evaluations. 3. Be responsible for your dog: Paws with Perception and Rachell Hayes hold no liability over how the dogs in this group act. We will always try to help mitigate any issues, but please be responsible for how your dog acts.
