Our Mission

Since 2016, Paws With Perception has been inspired to provide affordable and well-trained dogs to assist with a variety of disabilities utilizing methods that are relationship building, Force-Free and Fear-Free.

Our Story

All my life, I have spent time around dogs and obsessed with learning everything I could about them. From a very young age, I had decided I would find a way to have a career around them. In 2015, I was diagnosed with several chronic disabilities that changed the course of my life. It was at this time that a doctor brought up the idea of a service dog. After much searching, I came to the realization that there were no ethical, reputable, and affordable organizations that worked with people like myself. The only options I had due to my disabilities, seemed few and far between. After completing an educational program and successfully graduating from a certification program to learn how to be a humane, experienced, and educated dog trainer, I started training professionally in 2016.

It is my goal to create an ethical and affordable organization that accommodates people regardless of their disabilities.

About Your Trainer

Rachell Hayes, CPDT - KA, FFCP

I'm a certified professional dog trainer who relies on Force Free and Fear Free methods to train dogs with many different goals in mind. Since 2016, I have been professionally training with service dogs that assist with a variety of needs, therapy dogs who bring comfort to the general public, dogs in need of help overcoming separation anxiety or different forms of reactivity, pet parents who need help modifying their dog's behavior, obedience for every dog, and more! I love working with owners to help strengthen the relationship they have with their pet, as well as helping the dog grow confidence and trust in their owner and environment.
